Are bikinis, thongs and g-strings dying off with older generations?

My guess is that its a universal demographic with the amount of thongs online to buy...my guess this forum those is made up of older guys mostly.

I certainly hope not! The trends seem to be heading more towards the tighter compression shorts and boxer briefs styles for underwear. I'm 35 and was teased for wearing briefs when baggy boxers were the cool underwear. I will say that at least with swimwear the last summer the board shorts seem to be less popular with younger guys and more mid thigh shorts being more prevalent. Still not many swim brief wearers around my parts. But maybe as guys realise that smaller shorts means better tan lines and less drag in the water briefs will make a resurgence!

Actually i think the trend is going more toward trunks and "sports briefs". With shorts in general being mid thigh on men and underwear has to follow suit by being shorter. I also think with the huge online selection of thongs, g-string, bikini's and others the market has to appealing to alot of different ages. Who would have thought Lace underwear for men would be a thing.

A few Walmarts have a few packs of mens bikinis (hidden amongst the rows and rows of boxers). At one store, the bag was marked bikinis and another store (different brand) they were called low rise briefs. Go figure.

So, as a test, I just googled mens thongs on Amazon. If you judge by the number of reviews (and know that not everyone leaves reviews), then there are a ton being sold. On one product, it also said 100+ solder per month. That was just one model thong among one brand, in one color. Multiply that, and you probably have a decent base.

I also like to buy underwear for my wife (it's my love language), and I do a lot of research to see if folks like something, how it fits, before I commit to a size and buy something. Based on reviews I have seen, there are a lot of men that also buy women's thongs/g-strings to wear themselves (as we well know here). So between men and women's underwear, there are a ton of thong options for men--more than there ever were. It's also easier than ever to acquire them. So while it is still in the minority, there are a lot of folks that are buying them (as they should).

There are also more manufacturers than I can even track!

Fashions comes and goes and turn back.
Loose pants, tight pants, touching floor or showing ankles.
Women bikini, topless, thong, bikini again, thong+top.
Male briefs (or bikini as you call) then boxers then ridiculous 'long shorts' then briefs again.
Who know? Maybe in 15 years, children born in 2020s will wear thongs as obviousness.
