clips look like they would be uncomfortable and press into your skin, leaving marks. And the ones with plastic rings and clips seem like they would break easily, and then you have a good bikini/thong that you can't wear because it's broken ...

A lot of the bikinis I like are no longer available to purchase. My go to one is my Prevail Sport string briefs. I have quite a few still, so hopefully it will be awhile until they wear out.
