My pool doesn't like thongs. I wear a Kiniki Cuba or tan-through tanga. Ther're both pretty skimpy but have enough coverage to be pool-acceptable, and they also stay on securely when doing tumble turns.

I like Kiniki St Tropez. Really comfortable, fits well and looks great.

The Cuba tanga works back-to-front if you want more front space/coverage, and less back coverage too.
